In a region where pretty much every other car is a Lexus, seeing one is nothing special. I mean, we have local teenagers here getting Abu Shaghara LS 400s from the 90s for their first car. It’s the prevalence of these cars that has built the brand’s reputation – a respected luxury automaker that produces highly reliable cars.
But none of that says sporty at all. In fact, other than the LF-A, which perhaps a very small chunk of the car-buying population know about, the Japanese marque hasn’t really come up with a sports car worthy of the name in recent years. So seeing something with the looks and the firepower of a car like the RC F released into the market, bearing the Lexus badge, well that’s not something that happens every day.
The introduction of the RC 350’s badass eight-cylinder big brother hopes to steer Lexus in a sportier direction that appeals to a much younger segment of the market. Is the RC F the right car for the job?
